i would do a much larger water change.. like 50% and i would add salt and i would clean out the filter media.. ASAP. actually, not in that order.. filter media first, water change second, salt last.

and i would do the water change and salt every day or every other day until the fish recovers. or at least heals.. usually once their eyes get that bad they are too far gone and they will be blind in that eye.

Ok so what i did was about 25 percent, then added salt and fresh water together, and then changed filters... I was in a panic and not thinking right..... AM I SCREWED????

just do a 25% again just if you feel the water gets to cold add some warm out the tapp i do it and my cichla is fine and other fish and sorry about your loss with the lima shovle nose :(

Roger that I moving out now... Be back i a min..... 25 percent.... I cant take the water perameters now can I?

no, you're not screwed.. change the filter media, or at least clean it out, change the water. be careful how much salt you add, it should never make your aquarium cloudy.

i've forgotten the measurement for the salt.. i think it's 1 Tablespoon for 10 gallons? i know that it equals 1 cup of salt for 100 gallons. and i usually replace the salt as i do water changes, every 3 water changes i add another cup of salt, because i usually change 30 - 40 gallons at a time in my large tanks.

oh man, dosent look good bro.. best of luck saving him, just do what the others have said and bump the temp a little.
