cichla xingu in brazil free
cichla xingu sold by local fisherman, probably a penny or less
wholesalers selling to exporters, maybe a dollar
importers=exporter adds a premium + shipping fees + doa maybe $20 a fish?
importers mark up, death while in tanks, employees, and they have to make a living sells for maybe $75?
then the fish gets re-exported, to japan, korea, indonesia, europe, usa., wherever, more cost on top.

people dictate the price.

people who've bought from me in the past know that I'm fair with the price, but if the item is limited, then people can offer as much as they want for the fish, I don't make people buy the fish. hope that can ease the nerves of people who can't sleep thinking that there are fish that cost 500 each out there.

remember, asian arowanas, are produced by the thousands monthly in farms across asia, and people still pay thousands for them. that is also a reason why the nice fish never hit the U.S. shore. I can go on and on, but I'll stop here.

well said!!!
