good question! lol
I would just feed a good staple. Something like NLS that's supposed to be good for both herbivores and carnivores. I have Viejas in with my pikes and devils and I feed NLS and Hikari Gold along with the occasional fresh veggies that even the devils get in on.

I'm loving being able to see this guy develop. Keep us posted!

Im gonna try to breed him with a FH. Just hope they mate. I put another fish in the tank (a brother from the same spawn) and both the FH and him are beating him.They tolerate each other, I think its a good beggining, lets wait and see...

I asked the lfs guy and he said they feed them with flakes. So probably he didnt see granulat like food, cause he always take flakes.
Finally found some food he likes, "Tropical Vitality and color granulat". I tried "JBL Novo stick xl", the FH loves it, but he puts it in hes mouth and then spit it. Also tried "Hikari Gold" but he didnt like it neither the FH, dont know why... My luck is that i have 7 "mouths with fins aka Oscarfish" with 30cm, so extra food isnt a problem
