Hey guys new to the site but not new to the hobby- I was wondering what I could place with a group of Ornatus in a 55g tank, they are about 2inches now and look so lost alone in the tank .Would like something just as spectacular but not overly aggressive.

i would wait till u put them in the 125 , and grow something else to put in the 125 with them...
oh I thought I had to get something the same age to grow with them , but that's not a bad idea to wait .

As rare and expensive as Ornatum are, I would wait. And when you do add tankmates, I'd recommend something not overly aggressive. Maybe some Heros, Severum or smaller non-aggressive Crenicichla would be cool. Or just some silver dollars or other dithers and a small catfish or something. I just wouldn't want to risk losing the Ornatum.

Now, how some pics of these little guys. I bought two from Jeff and they're about the same size as yours...they might be a few inches now.
