Cichlasoma pearsei, Oscar, or Breeding BGJD/EBJD pair?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hmm, well I was looking around and I can't find anywhere that sells the pearsis anyways, and I would prefer not to order them online. There is a place in my area with young(1inch-1 1/2 inch) chocolate cichlid juveniles for about 5$ each. I might try one in my 110 gallon with my other juvy.

Tank upgrade won't be a big deal. :)

thanks for the help so far guys
Oscars are super common and look very simaler to chocolate cichlids and they both have a wonderful personality.

I am very tempted to flame you. :angryfire. Why are you angry anyway? What did i do wrong?

Flame me?
Kid, I very seriously doubt you've ever even seen a pearsei in person, or have kept a thick 14-16" fish in a 75 gallon tank. You are very very obviously young and inexperienced and should refrain from giving advice on here on all but the simplest things. We all remember just a couple months ago what kind of threads you were posting.
The worst part is, people who are new-ish and come here for advice don't realize who is behind the username most of the time.

I have a 14 inch Oscar in a 75 gallon aquarium.

It's not personal oscaroo, just slow down, learn, and enjoy the site, and try to give advice with what you have personal experience with and is a bit simpler. I like your enthusiasm for the hobby.

Quit giving advice.

OP, there are a ton of smaller CAs and SAs that could work...

Wow man, looks like you take your anger out on everybody, too bad for you, i thought youd be satisfied after flamming me w/ more then 8 comments last night....very sad and negative and im not judging you man, i just think before you tell other people about their attitude you may want to check yours first!

oscaroo was simply giving his opinion which has nothing to do w/ you....let the op decide if his advice is helpful or not.

Yes, I know Oscars are common, I see them everywhere.

Chocolate cichlids do seem interesting as well :D.
The ones I saw looked like this

That is a juvy chocolate cichlid right?

If I ever see a pearsi juvy anywhere I might get one if I have the tank space.

For now, the Oscar will be cool :) I'm curious about the temperaments of them, and how people say they're "puppies".
Chocolate cichlid maybe, if I can get one to work out in my 110 gallon.

Oscars are fairly peaceful. A fish with a lot of personality too. you should be able to fit 1 Oscar and 1 chocolate cichlid in a 110 gallon aquarium.
