Hey everyone!

My birthday is coming up and my Wife asked me what I wanted... Well I want another cichlid in my 150 gallon.

Some tank details:
150 Gallons
Sparsley Planted
Weekly water changes
78 Degrees
Plenty of Live Rock for hiding

Fish:
Male and Female Green Terror (South African)
Female Parrot Fish (South African)
Male Yellow Lab (African Cichlid)

I'd like to keep it under $100 for the fish... I'd like it to be unique, and obviously not be killed or kill my other Cichlid. Thanks!

GTs are from South America, not Africa . . . not sure what you are describing as the "parrot" fish, but if it is a true parrot, it is also from South America . . . if it is a blood parrot, that's a hybrid of American cichlids . . . the yellow lab is the only African cichlid in your tank

getting that out of the way, you might consider a Chocolate cichlid (Hypselecara temporalis) . . . this is a large, colorful south American cichlid that I don't think would conflict with your current stock

I'm not sure why I labeled the GT and Parrot as South African... Thanks for the suggestion!

Strange enough, my GTs are extremely docile, and I've never had a problem with any bullying. Any other suggestions?

firemouth, salvini,convit cichild, texas cichild.

it is just a difference of opinion, but I think a Chocolate cichlid would be less likely to incur aggression than Salvini or Texas would . . . and would certainly be less likely to start any :)

also, in the 150G tank, and adding "just one more fish", I don't think Firemouth, Convict or Salvini are large or interesting enough, although I do think all three are great fish

if you want something large and tough enough to handle itself, then I think you could consider a "Texas" cichlid (h. cyanoguttatus or h. carpintis) . . . I just think it ups the potential for aggression

if you want more peaceful, but able to stand up for itself, then maybe a Severum

i had a chocolate cichild and he was bullyed.

Why not get a red tailed prochilodus? A South American characin. It is peaceful very fast and will out grow the rest of your stock in the 150. Max. out at around 16 inches. If you go this route just get 1 as they do not play nicely with each other unless the tank is huge. 500-700 gallons for starters.

ok, but I try not to over-generalize from specific experiences . . . like the OP said, his GTs are docile, how often do you hear that? :D

but I think you might be on to something, so I'd still lean more towards a severum at this point . . .
