I keep crazy combos of cichlids and I rarely have problems but I allways crowd them and I have lots of hiding places and things to break up the line of sight.

I agree. Break up the tank more, sot the O & the sevs have an area to call their own. What are the dimensions of that tank? I keep a pair of O's and a pair of Sevs in a 125 with no huge problems, but it did take some experimenting with decor to get a comfortable arrangement worked out. Still not totally satisfied aesthetically, but no wars going on. Are the sevs a pair?

if you have no room you could sell me a severum!!!!

Thanks everybody!!!!!!!! :grinyes: :grinyes:

I'll try to follow your suggestions of adding more decor like rocks/petrified food/driftwood to break up the tank. I sure did want to give my tinfoil barbs their swimming room but the tank is rather large. Actually it is about the same length as a 55 gallon but it is about two feet tall and 18 inches wide. The tinfoils are doing wonderful and right now I have one of my severums occupying the tank with them and soon to move oscar. I'll try it again this time with less open surroundings. I still have a feeling it may not work out. I really can't stand seeing miserable fish. Because I feel sorry for everything that has to suffer :( :( :( EVEN bugs. I can't hurt them anymore. :WHOA: LOL!

Thanks a bunch guys!
Peaches~ I guess that answers my questions... I figured it would basically be a gamble...... ;) MANGCH1-- well, if I don't recall I think you live outside of texas where I live. Sorry. I DO love my severums. But boy can they be a pain.... :grinno:
