cichlid behaviour

are you sure your fish isn't just attacking it's reflection?

sometimes if i move the light to certain position the fish just goes nuts on his reflection.
but if i move it to the opposite end he calms and chills and acts regular like.

I'm thinking OCD sounds about right as it seems he's the only fish in the tank that is doing it steadily. The female does it sometimes in the back of the tank but not nearly as much.

from what I've seen it's fairly normal activity for juvie cichlids. with the temp that high and the fact that you have haitiensis, I'd make sure there is something providing extra aeration. Either a power head or 2 or a big air pump and air stone adding oxygen to the water. :)

Yes indeed, i have a fair sized air stone going in there, a rena xp2 with the spray bar above the water level and two fluval 304s with their output nozzles also above the water!

Looks completely normal to me, I had cichlids in the past that did that as well, matter fact my current adult male Red Devil still does it from time to time.

Thanks for the input! It seems like the small female is also doing to too but the other male is not.
