cichlid breeding questions

As a suggestion I hear jack dempseys are easy to breed as well as jaguar cichlids, Ive also seen a jack dempsey/Jag cross. Google search breeding methods, theres some pretty in depth articles to help get started.

I also suggest starting out with breeding for a basic color morph of a "pure" species first. Something like ebjd or convicts, super red severum etc. It will be a little easier and you won't have to cull so many fish. You will get results from your first round of breeding that way.

I started with the various color morphs of convict cichlid. Actually I enjoy those so much I still breed them lol.

u can basically cross breed almost any cichlid species. i suggest starting with something small like a convict x firemouth as they breed faster and you will get the hang of things quicker.
