Festae and JDs grow too big. A 55 gallon is only suitable for 1 JD, not a pair. And its jsut ridiculous for a festae pair, its not even suitable for one of them. Go with smaller cichlids, nothing exceeding 6 inches.

disagree! 1 JD in a 55 g tank, i rather not keep fish. 2 festae or 2-4 JD should be fine in there, unless they reach maximum size, which takes many years to achieve.

Oh yeah, if we are talking juvies you can put 10 JDs in there. But none of these fish will be fine past the juvie stage.
