i could make a pond which is 24 by 20
can a red tail catfish or tsn survive
i want to add

tsn
jardini
silver aro
arapaima
aimara
pacu
temensis
occelarris
silver dollar
mbuna as dithers

Possibly:
vatf
armatus
gatf

dont know how they will survive

can they survive in the southern california climate
will make sure everyone is large enough
 
U would need to heat it in winter, insulate the outside of the pool and put a green house film over the pool, u will need a heating device also, for the winter, target tempature should be mid 70s(f)
 
None of your fish species will survive in winter even you are in California, the night temp in CA is roughly 45F~50F in order to your fish to survive the pond would need at least 5+ foots deep so water temp won't go up or down 20+ degree in matter few hours and heating a pond in winter time LOL you're looking for massive electric bill too. Also California is in a bad drought last 10 years so digging a pond and massive water change = you're looking for a big City fine bill...With all this I feel your plan is a myth and your stock list...It's a different story! It's unreal.
