Cichlid Fishing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've been thinking of doing some cichlid fishing in New Orleans, so thanks for the tips. The texas cichlid is invasive here, and I saw someone pull a pretty hefty one out of a drainage canal in urban New Orleans. If I find a big enough one, I'd like to put it in with my 13" channel catfish, on the presumption that it would be feisty enough to defend itself. Any thoughts?

Schlitter baun is awesome went there with my church 3 years ago...I liked tubing down the river too that was cool. I'd like to go back without being on a church trip lol.

You can catch texas blues by the bushel in the suburbs. And in City Park. Actually, most everywhere in New Orleans!
