What do you feed your cichlids here is my list

Hikari cichlid gold
Spectrum Thera by new life
1 cube beef heart
1 cube beef heart plus (beef heart with Daphnia, spirulina , and vitamins added)
1 spirulina disk (for my Rhino Pleco)

How do you vary your fish's diet I am always looking for new ideas :)

well i do in the morning some pellets usually omega one, but sometimes hikari...then when i get home i feed frozen food...and then usually on occasion i feed live ghost shrimp and live blackworms to all the fish im conditioning to breed or hospitalize... but thats usually it i just do a variety of food and dont always use the same thing...

I change it up from day to day with my green texas with a bunch of foods like cubed beefheat, freezedried bloodworms, freezedried plankton, hikari chichlid sticks, and sometimes tetra color flake.......i like giving him a big variety.........

I feed mines somtimes ghost shrimp, some times bananas, freedsdryed shrimp, rollie pollies and crickets, hirikie pellets and just plain old fish food

Just wanted to let you know those rhino plecos grow like crazy. My cuz has one and we got it for him last easter about and it grew to about 8" in like 6 months. We got it when it was seriously no bigger than an inch. It is now about 10".

things that I have on hand to feed my cichlids:

--a mixture of Hikari gold large cichlid pellets, Ken's medium sized cichlid pellets and some type of goldfish/koi pellet (can't remember brand)
--ken's soft 'n moist krill pellets, both medium and large sizes
--Ken's freeze dried krill superba
--Ken's freeze dried krill pacifica
--Ken's spray dried krill (fry food)
--Ken's freeze dried blood worms
--Ken's sinking pellets with spirulina
--Ken's sinking pellets with brine shrimp
--Ken's plankton/krill/spirulina flakes
--frozen Krill and frozen blood worms

:D

anything that is a "Ken's" product is from www.kensfish.com. that's actually where I buy most of my foods because he also sells a few name brands like HBH, Dainichi, NLS and possibly others.

I order food from Ken's fish too. Also feed NLS & freeze dried shrimp & bloodworms. Sometimes frozen foods as a treat.

My JD's just love thawed frozen shrip or the Small orange pellets. As 4 my oscars freeze dried shrimp or the large orange pellets. I vary what I give them from day to day. For a treat they get frozen Blood worms or Brine shrimp.

Cool guy thanks I see one of the main things I may be over looking is some type of Shrimp/krill pellet I will look into that tomorrow at the LFS.

On a side note this is my second Rhino Pleco I had my first one for over 5 years he was 10 or 11 inches when i donated him to my Dad because i was setting up saltwater.A rhino was the first thing on my list when i went back to fresh one of my favorite fish ever.
