I hope this doesn't start a war but is the nls and hikari gold the same ? Meaning use one of them along with a veggie type food like hbh spurilina? And whennthey are bigger add in massivore?

What are you guys feeding your cichlids...are nls and hikari the best ?

My Cutteri pair and my Angel both get OSI flake, works fine and gives decent color. I'm sure there's better food out there for CAs and SAs but I haven't looked much into it since I'm selling my cutteri pair in a few days. My fry get microworms though, they won't touch flake (in case you're looking to breed by some chance).

I feed hikari bio-gold, nls cichlid, frozen food - Mysis shrimp, blood worms, brine shrimp, silver sides, also freeze dried krill, and hikari algae wafers. As they get larger I'll add some earth worms, crickets, and the occasional feeder as a treat.
