Both from Ken Davis. According to him, the crenicichla is supposed to be a juvie marmorata, so hopefully the speckling will go away with the adult coloration. Otherwise, I'll have a second very cool large pike species.
Looks more like a lent...sorry bro!! Marms won't have that much spangling....even as juv. Ken is awesome though! Wish i lived closer...hes about 8 hrs away...
Off topic: if he turns out to be a lent, I'll be looking for a big male marmorata to try to pair with my big female (see the avatar; female, right?)...and some lents to try to pair with this guy...unless I chicken out and keep alone.
