C'mon people, take a guess. Should be fairly easy.
If I were to post this as an unknown fish....... I'd get lots and lots of opinions
Heaven forbid, you might get it wrong......but it's just a game. Try again. Doesn't matter as the identity of the fish is an actual known.
'Funny', when it really matters, on an actual unknown fish, we get an abundance of opinions.....some really "out to lunch".
We all need practice identifying cichlids. Everybody but especially those that are fairly new to cichlids, should probably be using this game as practice.
Not Archoecentrus centrarchus.
No, I'm not going to post another pic. That's the pic I chose for identification... Besides it's not even my fish so i don't know of another pic of that particular fish. It's a wild caught fish with a known locality.
Stressed? Maybe, though IME this species more often goes very pale when stressed. Looking back at the last number of pages, there are plenty of fish out of water.....most definately in a stressed state! Pretty normal thing for just about any animal to get scared and show fear sometimes, so I don't see why that should exclude it from this guessing game.
From my perspective it's pretty easy......though of course I'm not the one guessing
Seen this fish look much like this many times over the years. It's a small juvie but has suffecient markings for identification.
I can give more hints.....but I think I should wait until there are more guesses.
Sweeeeeeet!!!!!
I love this pic. You'll either know it or you won't, or you'll spend hours trying to figure it out. Lol.
Nothing ambiguous about this one though.
