hmmm it looks like a cryptoheros of some kind.... at my locak aquarium club, the speaker actually went to mexico and saw those fish...

Aren't they yellow?? the ones that are half white/silver with the rear end striped looks like the hybrid that was caused when the mexicans built that canal from the river to the pond...

hi to all, well it is not a Crytopheros, niether a carpintis, and it is not a turquoise, let me tell first of all that this photo its a hard one, so keep going, by the way meepter, tha information you refer in your post its from the lake of La Media Luna in San Luis Potosi, and the problem its from a few years ago when some people build canals where Herichthys carpintis have access to that lake, and sadly now you can see hybrids from labridens and carpintis.

Aqua Mojo, ok i will wait, and try to see you, by the way are you coming in car or flying.

Nandopsis vombergae?!? only reason I say vombergae instead of haitiensis is because that fish appears to have somewhat thicker lips than the hait I used to have. definitely looks like one of the 2 though. :)
