Can you get better photos? The coloration around the pectoral fin has me leaning toward Herichthys pantostictus. I think the body shape resembles Astatheros because the fish is young and malnourished.

It looks like that pantostictus! Even has the red gashes behind the fins like that which I found weird!

Why does it matter what its worth? At that size most cichlids arent worth much at all epsecially in the condition yours is in. Never take a lfs word when they label fish. 90% of lfs have no clue how to id fish.

dude do NOT get rid of it. it could grow up to be an awsome fish maybe u have a nice hybrid specimen on your hands.
