Cichlid ID plz

maybe a psuedotropheus of some type. likely a female but im not african cichlid expert and havnt kept them for ages is this close?

i know sinisterkisses knows this. I'd take a guess but I'm not into africans as much as I used to be.

t.oliphant was close...but its Metriaclima lombardoi, not pseudotropheus. If its a male, it will gradually change colour from the blue to a golden yellow, or stay blue if its a female. They're nasty little buggers though, what are you housing it with?

Is your fish starting to show signs of getting some yellow colouring on the body? This is the Met. lombardoi. Female will stay this colour and the male will become yellow.cmersits said:sry im not very good with cichlids lol
Had some, lost them when my tank broke, and found them to be not as bad as some people make them out to be. Thanks for the pic.
It hasn't changed colors, it is still blue so im guessing female.
Also check out this nest that she dug. She would suck in like 3 or 4 pebbles and spit them out.
