definately livingstonii- the patterns on liv's are more erratic and blotchier than a Nim. Venustus-also i think the brown blotches are darker. like everyone else said, a male venustus has a blue face, and the body is purple and yellow (if you are feeding him the right thing lol). and females just look yellow and tan..
 
sorry guys im pretty sure it is hep. polystigma. i have one. the livingstoni are more ***ish blueish and have a bright orange strip on the top fin, the polystigma are more brownish and red.
 
when i learn how, ill send a side by side pic of polystigma and livingstoni. maybe ill buy a venustus too and can compare all three
 
Looks like Livingstoni markings on the bottom fish. I had 4 of them and my red top zebra zapped them.
It is amazing to watch them play dead to wait for food. Their gills won't even move.
tezr is right that is their nature to be hunters.
