The cyno is a texas, carpentis is a pearl.... The carpentis is commonly called a texas but isnt

Also the brasiliensis is known as pearl cichlid but unrelated to this convo

I disagree, I would say the opposite.
 
I could be wrong about cyno,..

But Ive read the green tex wich has pearls like a cyno but doesnt have the color of a cyno was a true texas and the carpentis like an escondito was a pearl

But hey maybe I have to do more research I trust your judgment
