My bro and I were both stumped. He said it was in a tank labeled green terrors and the guy just threw it in the bag. I was gonna tell him to return it until I looked at it and when I couldn't identify it I was like keep it it may end up being a quality find.

It looks like a very bland version of my Green Texas Cichlid.

Edit: I just saw the second picture: You probably have a JD, Texas hybrid.
 
I would say texas flowerhorn or texas demspey but texas tempsey would have more spangles to im leaning closer to texas flowerhorn.
