Already tried this thread in the C/Sa cichlids and they fish were kinda limited and usally only a single species. So im looking into getting into cichlids for my 60 as i said. The only thing i dont want is discus, angels, sevrums, or cons. Thanks anything will be considered

Have you thought about Africans? You could do a real nice tank with around 20 Mbuna.

I was thinking about africans last night thats why i put it in the general cichlid area. And chicago has a cichlid convention mainly based around africans so that would be an awsome place to go.

so you don't get pairing up. A pair of fish takes up more space and is more aggressive than 2 nonpaired fish

o i was wondering why because in most fish that many males would be a death trap

Not with Peacocks. Many people have success with all male Peacock tanks. I have no personal experience with African Peacocks. If you are interested in this option, you should post a question in the African section.

If you went with Mbuna, it would be a bad idea to go with all males. You would want a ratio of at least 3 females per 1 male.

I c if i did fronts and moved them to my pond when they got to big for the tank who could go along with them
