Question/Poll of the day. You have a spare 75 gallon glass tank n stand with plenty of filtration laying around doing nothing. what do you do with it...
A: Turn it in a wonderful cichlid display
B: Turn it into a stunning Saltwater community tank (knowning you have to spend more money to get the right equipment)
C: Sell it n don't bother



Well I know "C" isn't in my vocabulary.... tough decision though.. what would some of you do?

I would go Pbass, because that is what I want.

You have so many options open for you man. I would do dwarfs though. Get the tank heavily planted with easy, low maintence plants. get it stocked with several species of tetras, cories, and a couple of Loricardae.... Once you get the tank set up and 'stocked'...time to get the center pieces. Personally, I would do a pair of dwarf Crenicichla (pike cichlids) cuz they are totally awesome. you would want deeper bodied tetras like broken line, black skirt, serpae, and the like. Cardinals/neons are a hit and miss if they will work or not. Some Krobia sp. 'orange spot' would look awesome. Just mix it up...there are soo many kewl things you could do.

Ya...Ya...Ya...Pikes have certain needs like soft water. Central American Cichlids do great in hard water, have beautiful colors and I DON'T MEAN OSCARS. OR SEVERUMS...There are lots of choices, and they do well with loaches, syno cats and farlowellas. I particularly like the Hypsophrys Nicaregenses. Just me... Our protocal has been community tanks for the last 15 years and right now we have a Green Terror feeding alongside a marbled Angel Fish with no repercussions. They're both about 5"s and if the war starts we are prepared to move them. Apart. I guess my vote is:A

Cichlids!!! If it were 750 Salt!! I would have several sharks!!!And some eels!! But a 75.... Not that my opinion is worht much.. but I would go cichlids...
