looking for some med-large sized pellets to try on my male jd. I am wanting to order it off the internet. I have tried several kinds of pellets at petsmart, and he don't care for them. What are some big pellets he can't refuse? (he use to eat some from petsmart but now hes grown up i guess)

edit: forgot to add, it must sink. he won't eat floating.

Hikari Massivore delite.

hikari cichlid gold sinking medium pellets are what i use. my fish love them.

Ehhh...Not such a good idea. I was feeding my catfish Hikari Catfish wafers and Hikari Gold Cichlid Pellets (floating) then went on there, bought 5 lbs of sinking catfish sticks, and they don't like them. Only the plecos like em. :(

lol i know that feeling. ive spent about £100 in the past 3 months trying to find foods my fish will eat to vary their diet from spirinula sticks, hikari cichlid gold, bloodworm and paprika/garlic granules.

I use Hikari Cichlid Staple and the growth rate and tha palatability is pretty fine. You can try Hikary Cichlid Bio-Gold. :)

Sinking cichlid gold, omega one sinking shrimp pellets, and omega one floating cichlid pellets are what I feed, all from petsmart.

What is the JD eating now?

If it will only eat frozen or live food, don't feed it for a few days and then start offering pellets.
