Just fed my cichlid pike some feeder fish, within 30 secs it had eaten at least four minows with four more in it's mouth...The thing is a beast...I am going to try to film it one day and post the video i assure you it's unbelievable...

If its was me, I would be working training him to eat other foods - freeze dried krill, frozen, etc....for the nutritional aspect and to cut down on the disease carrying feeders. Goldfish are dirty fish and used to get my tanks contaminated on a regualr basis...Pain in the ass

its only about 3-4" and can eat almost 10+ RR. Rasdbo has it now and he calls it Kobeyashi (after the food eating champ)
yeah with pike you have to worry about the overeating cause they usually quicker than other fish and just dont know hen to stop. Lost an Orange and a Cincta like that.

I have 2 pikes and they eat a variety of foods... pellets, market shrimp, mealworms, krill, etc. But never Live feeders.Yeah there pretty crazy, they just don't know when to stop eating, seems like it is painful for them when they have a really, really, really big bulge in their stomach area and with a whole bunch of food still in their mouths.
