bad ass pic man.. i will have a creincichlia(SPELLING) tank soon enough...muahahahahaha:screwy:

I've only owned one pike. It was a 2-spot pike. I saw a batch of them at Big Als, first time i've come across pike juvies and had to snatch one up. I got rid of almost every fish in my tank except for a Green Texas Juvie. The Pike grew from 1" to 8"+ in 3 months! ONe time when he was about 3" i was dumb and put the whole lot of 25 feeders in the tank. Woke up the next morning and they were all gone. Sadly I had to give him up as I moved and am not aloud a big tank where i am now, He was a nice fish but very skidish and sensitive to light. I want to have another Pike tank in the future or at least some dwarfs!

I give my fish rosies or some live food once a week. I love to watch my pike feed. He's a beast spins around the driftwood and WHAM! takes a minnow in a flash. Its the only time he outfeeds my RD. However i feed him freeze dried krill, tubifes, bloodworms frozen beefheart, bloodworms and pellets. he still wont take flakes unless he hasnt eaten in a day though.

Ducati996 is absolutely right! I have 2 pikes and they eat a variety of foods... pellets, market shrimp, mealworms, krill, etc. But never Live feeders.
Yeah there pretty crazy, they just don't know when to stop eating, seems like it is painful for them when they have a really, really, really big bulge in their stomach area and with a whole bunch of food still in their mouths.

Yeah, my pike did that often:eek: before he got eaten by my 12" TSN/Red Tail Hybrid:cry: :swear:
