That's really awesome. Love the viewing window and I'm glad you're doing cichlids. I think you should be fine to do some dovii and other mean cichlids in there. Umbee would be cool as well. Just stick to big mean cichlids, and it should be enough room for them to coexist.

Wow what an awesome pond and the az weather is great for cichlids. Did you build this yourself ? Amazing job and design
Definitely would add some amphs and vieja species to the mix !

Beautiful dovii. I wish I lived where it is warm enough to keep cichlids out year round.

i had a lot of help with the build from the wife and kids. It is still a work in progress. I added a uv last weekend, and we are continuing to add plants, lights etc.

awesome set up. I'm jealous. Make sure you have some kind of predator in that set up other than just dovii if you are doing multiple dovii... you'll be over run with babies before you know it if you have a male and female together lol

Very cool. So I have no idea and I guess I could do my own research, but what are the coldest temperatures you can expect for winter in Arizona?
What about high temperatures in summer will you need a chiller?

I'm jealous wish I could do this but winters here in the mountains of NC get pretty cold.
