I have two pikes, two JD's, one large firemouth, 3 redhooks, one small GT, 3 medium CL, a large pleco, and a 7" raphael cat with my 14" silver aro. No problems. GL

Probably would be fine, but both fish grow big quick and your tank is small.

A 6ftx3ft(width)x2ft is going to be small for a Silver Aro and an Oscar? :WHOA:

(I have already placed the order for this tank. I don't plan on getting anything bigger given the size of my apartment in Bombay.)

I think if there is no problem "temperament" wise (ie no fights), I will keep both of them for a couple of years and then sell/give away the Oscar when the tank seems too small for them.

My immediate concern was the Oscar troubling the Silver Aro.. That's not going to be a problem, right?

Takes time to build, deliver, set up and cycle a tank that size. In the meantime the aro and the oscar will be quickly outgrowing the 30g tank that you have your silver aro in. Wait on buying more fish until you have your new tank ready for them.

Severums or earth eaters

i love this suggestion, severums aren't very aggressive? i also wanted an earth eater and is actually available in my LFS, they are quite small though. roughly 2". i wanna ask how fast do earth eaters grow?
