I kind of have a feeling on what would happen but I want a second opinion.

How do Cichlids get along with Crayfish, specifically larger Crayfish. In this case, a Papav Crayfish just over 4" (The one in my icon.).

I've been thinking of adding some fish to his little 20 gallon tank and I've had my eye on a Red Snook. The crayfish is a bit handicapped, (Missing a claw.), but it's still tough as nails and managed to take a good chunk out of a Severum that was pissing it off a while back.

I know the tank might be small now but I'm probably going to update to a wide 40 gallon within the coming weeks.

that crayfish will make a meal out of anything it can get its claws on. i had an electric blue that ate alot of $$$$ fish before it got evicted to my buddys tank.

Well it has relatively small claws and it's used to me feeding it personally anyway.

Okay, well forget the Snook, I finally found some stuff on Google and I wouldn't even bother trying to keep it in a 40.

Can I get some Cichlid recommendations that would do alright in a 40 with a Crayfish?

Small stuff like Thorichthys would be an ok bet, and if it's something like common firemouths, wouldn't be a huge loss if the crayfish got its claws on it
