Cichlids and Oscars

I have my two oscars in with a grand assortment of africans and centrals and I haven't had any problem with them. just make sure that they can't swallow the other fish and you will be fine

They have different PH requirements Oscars have a more neutral PH of about 7.0, Lake Malawi and Lake Victoria have a pH between 7.4 and 8.6 Lake Tanganyika cichlids 7.8 to 9.0

Your are gonna end up shortening your fishes life span.

you dont have to adjust their pH differently just put them in the water you get out of the tap

I belive it is the change in pH which is bad for them. Most fish can adapt to different water parameters without a problem. Breeding however, is a differnt story.
