I would definitely look into a harem smaller of victorian's like ruby green,flameback haps, or obliquidens. They're very colorful and have lively personalities.

In the SA/CA route, I would try Herotilapia multispinosa, HRP convicts, rams, or archocentrus cutteri would be great picks.

I would get some dwarf pikes. Maybe a female salvini if you want central american.
