Okay, this might be a dumb question but I don't know. I want to know if there are any cichlids (NON-DWARF) that could live as a single fish in a standard 20 gallon aquarium for life, without any upgrades. Thanks!

I actually thought of them too but someone else earlier said they canget big....

Screw it.. Firemouth!:D

Convict... Red Jewel..... Firemouth.........Keyhole ......ummm i think those are your only options....

Firemouth, convict, keyhole and rainbow cichlids just to name a few of the more common species.

firemouth, convict, some of your eartheaters probably

rainbow cichlid-or cutteri.

If it is a 20 long then you could do two. I have a breeding pair of cons in a 20 long. If it is a regular twenty, I would get a con or firemouth and grow a mini beast.
