Cichlids in a 39 Tall

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
@ Glass Cages a 38 tall = 36" L x 12½" W x 17" H

Convicts, HRP's, cutteri, sajica, myrnae, nanos, firemouth, keyhole, female salvini, rams, maybe festivum, maybe multispinosa, jewels though they're african, female grammodes...there's more but I only popped in for a minute...

30 L x 13 x 24

Could I go potted with any of those cichlids.

That's a standard 37, I have one, and to be brutally honest, hated the height on it, but I love longer tanks anyways.

You could do cutteri, cons (a pair), HRP, apistos, firemouth, rams (bolivian and GBR) (I kept 3 males happily in my 37 for almost a year, a pair would look awesome in a planted setup with some dithers), if you want lots of smaller fish, maybe a group of Ps. Saulosi (males are blue females are yellow so you get lots of color variety and lots of fish) even though they're africans.

So a pair of apistos with plants and some dithers would be cool? I'm going to set the tank up in her soon to be office.

+1 sajicas are pretty cool and will be bigger, apistos are pretty though, and im pretty sure you can do multiple females with a male

So the pair of the Sajica would put grow my 37?

my vote is for sajica, and they coincidentally don't touch plants!

I like the pair of Sajica idea better.

I agree as well...and No Fishnthehood, they wont outgrow your 37g. Should be a nice tank, especially if you go the planted route as well.
