December 2009 Tank of the Month: South America Stream

I had some apistos in there. I never did figure out which species they were. Does anybody have any opinions?

Hey I just received a tip that the security at that site linked above has been compromised. I just sent a note to the admin there advising about this potential issue. You probably shouldn't click that link until I can check to see when it will be resolved.

Have you posted pictures of your tanks?

Tons - mine are nowhere near as lush as yours. Example - my Festae tank has 2 large onions and a lotus I've had for like 3 years. They look good contrasting w/ fish but a full tank shot - you probably wouldn't even know the plants were real. Please disregard the 07' time stamp those pics are a week old - the Festae pics are a year old - the rest somewhere in between.

Hey Otherone those are nice fish that you have. What are those large they look like Central American cichlids in the 5th shot from the bottom? I want to have a tank someday with some large Mexican or CA cichlids.

I am still checking on the status of that site that I linked above. I wan to link it again because the article really did turn out pretty good.

those are festae and they get even brighter colors than they are showing in that pic :)
