Everything was prompt, a couple fish arrived DOA and a couple died the day after, he replaced all of them free of charge. Customer service seemed quite excellent to me.
 
I ordered from Dan last month. It was all good. Will order again in the future
 
I purchased from him with a friend and although we didnt get what we ordered the fish were still healthy and he responded to calls and emails quickly. Hellman has sold his one cuban from the pair he bought since they were both females and im still working on getting my grammodes pair to bond again and breed with no luck. He has great fish and good customer service
 
dan did a great job all across the board with my order. i recieved all 10 of my festaes and all were alive on arrival. best packing job for shipped fish i ever recieved.
 
I think Dan is great. I ordered from him a few months back and had ordered a total of 12 Gymno's and he send me 9 and when i contacted him he agreed to send me the other 3 at no charge which i thought was amazing. I didn't even ask him to do this, he just did it on his own. His fish are always healthy and I have ordered fish from him several times and will continue to support his business. If you haven't ordered from Dan you really should do so. Great prices and his shipping is very reasonable.
 
I've ordered from cichlidsoftheamericas several times over the last few years. Initially I thought customer service was a little slower then expected but Dan always got back with me. Seems like Dan has ramped up a lot in the last year or so though and the last few times I ordered anything the customer service was top notch. All emails were replied to promptly, pictures sent of actual parents went asked for, all questions about collection locations answered, etc.

I've always gotten healthy fat fry or growouts from Dan as well. This is something I cannot say about most other sellers. I've gotten a lot of sickly skinny fish from some of the other CA breeders/sellers. This alone will keep me ordering from him. Add in that his prices are always the best and I am just not going to order CA/SA cichlids elsewhere. I pretty much get all of my new world cichlids from Dan or from trades.

The only thing I would like to see different is for Dan to work with more cryptoheros types. Were are the wild convict types at Dan????? I need them!!!!:D
 
should also say that he has been helping with trying to get my grammodes to breed so hes a great help.
