I don't know about any of you but it is very hard to place an order and not spend $100 so it seems fine to me.

Make shipping more worth the time ans money. Someone who orders a $4 fish and pays $60 shipping is not likely.

+1 like aquascape min order is $40 but then you have to pay $80 for shipping

But the thing is like some one said you go to order fish and you buy more then what you thought you wanted to buy anyway

Many vendors have min order amounts, as do most wholesalers. What it does is save the business time & money by making their business more efficient. It's simple business 101. Some vendors may not mind running in circles to make $5.00 because they are running their business out of their garage, as a second income. Others do this full time working 14 hr days, 6-7days a week & simply don't have time to deal with $10.00 orders.

Make sense?

IMO what would make even more sense is to email/call the vendor directly and ask him.

and if im correct cichlids of the americas goes and collects the fish themselves unlike other vendors just getting them shipped to them not knowing if there wild caught or not
