I would just keep doing really big water changes. You'll see ammonia and then there will be no ammonia on the tests. Then, nitrite will do the same thing -- show up and then drop back down to zero. When you've got zero ammonia and nitrite, then the tank is cycled. The nitrate really shouldn't be as high as you say if you're doing the water changes you mentioned in the other post -- so that worries me, but it is the smallest problem right now. What you're seeing is normal when fish are exposed to ammonia, and though I've never had ammonia burn, I imagine it's awful -- it probably burns their eyes, gills, skin, everything -- so try and keep ammonia as low as possible through water changes.
