ive asked a similar question before and didnt get much response figured id try a segond time.

so im in the process of setting up my 125 gallon tank which has already been designated as a poly tank:headbang2 . but i want to add some action and color to the upper levels of the tank and the only african fish that come to mind are cichlids, in particular fronts and nimbochromis.

so what do the resident poly experts think about a 125 gallon tank with 6 bichirs, 2 fronts, and 2 nimbochromis livingstonii? too agressive? overstocked?

Mother Nature's rule is that big fish eat little fish. If the fish are sized appropriately you may be fine. I'd think the livingstoni may be a problem eventually.

Your question would be easier to answer if we knew the size of your fish.

Avoid breeding pairs of cichlids try to get all females
