Crenicichla. Pikes do awesome with plants. From the tiny dwarf species to the big Lugubris brutes. I've done heavily planted tanks with 12+ inch pikes with awesome results. Try a nice saxitilis species. You will be pleasantly surprised.

How big do those grow? Tank is a 75 and it has gouramis (for now) so they can't beat them up.

Also, idk where to find pike cichlids.

The problem with pikes is that there are literally dozens and dozens of different species divided into three major size ranges. The 3-4" dwarfs, the 8-12" mediums (many of the members of the saxatilis group belong here) and the 15-18" brutes. Couple these ranges with a strong lack of captive breeding for the genus in this hobby, which means most specimens are wild caught. Most of them are fairly bland in color, making them difficult to tell the different species apart. Most pikes sold in LFSs are sold at about 3-6". They also don't tend to have the collection location for said fish. So its can be very challenging to tell what species you've gotten when you take all these factors into consideration. Specialty online sellers (usually direct importers) will have a better idea as to what they are selling you. Pikes are also piscivores, so if their tankmates are considerably smaller than they are, they will be considered food.
