Hey,

I'm kinda torn at the moment I have a 56 gal column tank that not sure what to do with. I'm not sure to go with the Cichlids route since the fish have more color but a nicely done planted tank looks awesome. Right now I have a 10 gal planted tank with diy c02 and was fun to have. Can someone help me swing me in one direction or the other?

with that tank, one awesome cichlid would be the best choice cause of the relatively small footprint but it would be perfect for a planted tank. personally i would put it in the middle of a room, build a column in the center to house all equipment and fill it with africans!!!

planted tank with a pair of discus. can't get more awesome than that!

Really thinking about going planted now ahh so hard to choose lol

you can have a planted tank AND have cichlids ...

as noted, you coudl go Discus, or EBJD ... you could also do Angels ... you could do Rams, curviceps, kribensis, acara, rainbow, firemouth, convict ... or any other number of small-to-medium sized cichlids
