Cichlids vs planted tank

well what can I say besides do both why choose between them when you can have both lol.

Think im going with this I found a cheap 20 gal tank im going to setup as a planted tank and the 55 gal into a Cichilds tank. Looking to do Mbuna tank some nice looking fish.

WITH a 56 gal column tank your going to have FUN keeping your pits dried. Not the ideal tank to do a planted tank (not a very big footprint)

Ya thats what I was thinking removing the gravel was a pain to setup. I love the colum how you have 3 sides you can view from. Plus a 20 gal planted tank is a perfect size for planted tanks in my eyes. Plus I can still rock my DIY c02 system until i can afford a c02 tank and setup.

Have you considered cichlids that do not eat plants. That way you can have your cake and eat it too.
