Cichlids with dats Q

Any good suggestions on what types of cichlids that go great with dats? More specifically any slow growing species. I know people do oscars but those grow like weeds and my guys are in the 2-2.5" range. I talked to a LFS owner who told me he had a buddy keep Frontosa with his dats and they did well. I know those are super slow growing but require/want higher ph range. I am planning on doing clown loaches with my guys, so I don't know if that changes anything with the cichlid suggestion. I have a fee acaras in with my indo dat. Acara are active but don't really bother anyone as they are placid.

clown loaches should be fine as well.

Most cichlids grow quick.

Some cichla grow at a reasonable rate and should be ok.

but as a general rule dats grow slowly unfortunately

I,m keeping a dat with four uarus, and it's goiing ok!

Had one in a tank with six red head geos and nine severums, no problems.
