in the river under that big old log
hey guy's i just wanted to know what kind of fish to put in a 90 gallon? i want to go with nice soft fish that ar peacefull for my grandma. i know about cichlid's but not much about anyting else...

if its for a grandma, and you can keep up with weekly water changes, go with 2 or 3 old time favorites, the fancy goldfish.

their funny bodies, bright colors, odd habits and yet graceful swimming seem a nice fit. not to mention, if granny tried to feel "generous" with their food, they can handle a bit of abuse if need be without going belly up right away. can always add a bristlenose or clown "suckerfish" as they call them, since fancy goldies fare better in a heated tank.

discus or angels.

If you are doing the work, then some colourful african fish might be nice and a bit more exotic.

Community tank with a huge school of congo tetras or bigger barbs. A nice size group of cories and larger centerpiece fish like a Severum or a pair of mid size SA cichlids like Keyholes or blue flags.

Just my to cents, goldfishes are cold water species.

fancies do better in tanks that are in the low-mid 70's ;)

you can still have cichlids, with a peaceful cichlid community with fish like festivums, small acara species, keyholes, and cichlids like that

Are you atall experienced in fishkeeping> Discus arevery graceful fish and you could get 6 of those and other fish in the tank,But if you wanted just discus you could possibly keep 9-10 but 6 is a better option. Also don't keep any boistrous or agressive fish with discus, Unless they are fully grown.
