Cinder block stand ??s

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i supported a 300 at my buddies house like this... we built a very nice wooden stand but he needed the tank up asap... used 8"x8"x16" blocks 4 high then laid 2x12 planks added 1" pink board and filled it up.... worked very good for a temp set up.... would work for perm one as well.... you can attach plywood to the planks to hide the blacks and make a door on the front...

thanks for the reply nic. will go get some cinder blocks soon and see if i can get it up and running

Considering cinder blocks are used for building houses I'd say they are strong enough. you'll probably want to use some concrete mix or mortar in between the bricks to give it stability. You'll definitely want to put down a piece of plyboard on top to distribute the load of the tank. Tanks are usually not designed to sit directly on just the legs.
