I don't feed my fish live food. Is it difficult to switch them over to pellets?

what i did was give him live food for a week or two and get him fat and healthy and happy in the new tank, then i started giving only one guppy in the morning and letting him get hungry but not starve.. then in the afternoon i would give a pellet..i think it took only a few days and he was eating pellets then i never gave him live again..now he even eats algae wafers and cat fish pellets, cichlid pellets ,frozen blood worms and frozen krill and frozen silversides..

Couple pics of mine.

Clown knife fish will not work with texas! My 10" carpintis shredded a 15" ck in 5 minutes. The ck had plenty of hiding spots too. The rest of the mix is okay though. (cichlids are too aggressive for them IME)

I never trust fish for the most part. Especially if it's been feeding on live. I feed my CK live on occassions, but it hasn't gotten any in like a month. I know that if the fish is robust enough, the CK won't touch it..at least eat it anyways. I have mine with a RTC.

He has perfect 000000000 and all the same size ..mine wants to make 888's ..good looking guy..

Nice CK, Like Red Devil said i like the perfect oooo's all the way.. I think it's real hit and miss with CK's on tank mates. I got mine free from a guy that said he was beating the heck out of his tank mates, but since i added him to my tank he's been fine...

It's actually taken a nip or two on the RTC. I've seen a couple of battle wounds, but they've healed up nicely and it doesn't seem like it's an aggression think...more like a "Leave me some food too!"

I've had CKs from 16" to 22" and they've never caused a problem with anything other than similar fish. Currently I have a 20" CK with a 24+" aro, 15" oscar, 15" lima shovelnose and a 20" marbled pim and they never bother each other at all. IMO a CK is one of the easiest fish to get onto dead food.
