WOW, i am not sure but that is a big diffrence. Very nice looking clowns too. I bought 2 3" ornates at the same time, and one is twice as fat and 3-4" longer and I am clueless as to why.

same happened to mine.
bought them both at 6" in the same week. now one is 8" the other is 17".
but this was because the 17" ate pellets and bloodworms, while the 8" was stuck on feeders and i had to weane him onto market shrimp.

they got along when they were the same size, but as the bigger one grew he bullied the other one.

no they are huge well the bala "was" huge he passed not too long ago. he was 5 years old

natural selection buddy...the bigger one is simply stronger, faster and has better genes....

:iagree: Probably gets most of the food.

the smaller one is still pretty shy hes one of the smaller guys in the tank so it dosnt charge out like the big guy

If you have an extra tank, you could try raising it by itself until it gets as big as the others, but there is a risk of the CKs fighting after you re-introduce the smaller one.

Genetics.. the bigger one has more "monster" genes hehehe.. see in their natural habitat its survival of the fittest while the less aggressive and smaller ones get eaten, thats why wild caught monsters are literally "monsters". but here in MFK we raise monsters all the time hehehehe
