can some of you post some pics of your ck? i got a knife that in my opinion looks likes a ck, but it has odd markings that make me second guess myself.

i can try, i don't have a digital camera, my camera is the one on my laptop. i will post some in a minute, or at least try

they are horrible pics, but they are the best i could get as he wouldn't stop moving.

sorry for the dirty tank, i just fed them and i feed my oscar's 1 small feeder fish and the water kinda started to go a-stray

as a description to the pic to give you a better idea of the fish, he has spots going all the way to the tip of his tail, his tail or body fin is clear and he has a huge head with a massive sized jaw. two little feeler looking things on his bottom jaw and quick as lightening.

common as in? and what kind of care to give him? i was told he was a Clown Knife but the spots don't look like a clowns spots. i am trying to get him to eat bloodworms, but he shows no interest in them. the person at the pet store i got him from said he eats guppies so if thats the case then it will be a little difficult weening him from what i've heard. my set up is a bunch of large rocks covering the bottom of the tank giving my loaches a bunch of hiding spots, many of the caves are big enough for the knife, but he just sits in one place all day and sometimes takes a lap around the tank. i am breeding mollies as feeders, would these be good enough for him? not as a main diet, but as a food source like the bloodworms and pellets that i feed my other fish. he is a little shy but he doesn't go very far when im near, sometimes he swims towards me. if any of you can give me advise and some good ways to care for him and even what to feed him and how to ween him from guppies would be great.

thanks in advance

some ck spots could be odd ranging from circular to almost oval, i doubt it's a royal because royal knives will almost have stripes at the ends of it's body rather than spots.

these spots are in a single file line going from just behind the gill plate to the tip of the tail. the spots on his body are kind of dull and faint but the spots in between the body and tip of the tail are distinct and strong. if this is a ck then what can i feed him, he's eating guppis, well i haven't tried them yet. im trying to get him on blood worms but i was told he liked guppies. is there a healthy substitute for guppies that he will most likely eat? i will keep trying bloodworms as thats what my oscars eat, but if i need to feed him something else then by all means let me at it!

Try pellets, pieces of fish fillet, pieces of raw shrimp, my clown knife eats all of those things. How big is it?
