CL growth rate and lifespan?

They like pigs once settled in but grow super duper slow ... I don’t have 20 years to grow out huge ones so I went out and bought them and if I can keep them another 20 I would be tickled pink

The old one is acting normal but has started to look old and a little boney so I wondered how old they lived and came on here. Mine are both about 6 inches but quite round as they matured and i feel sad that the 40 odd year old one is indeed old so I probably can't change the weay he is looking. The other one is fine. All I can think is that it is doing it's usual behaviour, feeding etc so i happy in a way, but is probably on his way out....
I was told by an aquatic veterinarian that the wasting syndrome that some clowns experience was due to nematodes. Whatever it is, it's abnormal and treatable.
