I plan to get an aquarium size of the Atlantic ocean. ;) Your fish doesn't understand your noble idea of getting bigger tank when he grows up. Sure a small kid would quite possibly live his/her first 5 years in a wardrobe while the parents are planning to get a bigger room but it is still not very sensible. It would just be better if you would let go of your clown and give/sell it to someone who has enough tank space and some buddies for your clown as well.

You could start thinking of having clown loaches again when you already have the necessary tank space to accommodate them properly.

I totally agree, in the meanwhile you can add some hiding places to your tank, the loach will feel safer.

Take him to the lfs and trade him for a few kuhli loaches. You'll probably have to pay the difference. And btw are you in Texas?
